Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I hire a dog walker/pet sitter?

A tired dog is a happy dog! Not only will a walk provide exercise to prevent troublesome behavior due to boredom, it's excellent for their health and socialization. Seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling everything the outdoors has to offer is stimulation at its finest. You'll know your pet is well taken care of during an in-home visit with Steel Valley Wag because we'll give your pet one-on-one attention like they are our own. In-home visits are also a great way to give a potty break, supply fresh water or feed your furry loved one when you can't be there. Plus, we take some pretty awesome photos to send you!

Why in-home care vs. boarding?

If you have a pet who is antisocial, have concerns giving multiple vaccines that boarding facilities require or just prefer that your pet has familiar surroundings, in-home care is a great option. Being away from your pet is stressful, and we ease that stress in the comfort of your home... you won't have to pack up any of your pet's things either!

At Steel Valley Wag, we recommend that young puppies and seniors are not boarded as they need to stay on a strict schedule and avoid possible contagious illnesses.

In-home care also provides added peace of mind for you, knowing a trusted professional is checking regularly and keeping an eye on both your pet(s) and your home. You also have direct contact with your pet sitter daily and receive some pretty awesome updates!

Do you offer overnight care?

We currently do not offer overnight services. We do provide one-on-one care multiple times a day - including breakfast, daytime, evening, and bedtime visits, all tailored to your pet's schedule and individual needs.

Who comes to my home?

Thank you for putting your trust in us. During the meet & greet you'll be introduced to Tiffany and your pet sitter(s).
